Louis Vuitton Spring 2027: an off-centre cut
A pale opening dress, a cropped jacket and a checked coat show where Nicolas Ghesquière shifts the line of a familiar garment.

Nicolas Ghesquière presented Louis Vuitton’s Spring 2027 womenswear collection in Paris on 6 October. The opening pale dress is built from overlapping diagonal panels. One side of the hem falls below the other, leaving the dress slightly different from every angle.
Look 13 is more contained. A tan zip jacket ends at the waist, with a pointed collar and pockets set into its front. Loose black trousers take over below it. Later, the checked coat in look 31 crosses the body rather than fastening down the middle. The trousers keep a straight checked line, while a soft grey piece hangs free at one side of the coat. From the front it reads as a suit; in profile, the loose layer changes its outline.
Elsewhere, reflective geometric shapes sit on a white slip dress, while ruffles gather around one shoulder of a pink checked top. Near the end, a black cape-like jacket opens at the arms over a grey top and a printed skirt. The shoulders remain sharply cut even where the jacket falls open.
