Bottega Veneta: from loose tailoring to a red dress
Louise Trotter’s Summer 2027 collection moves from generous tailoring to a gathered red dress. Three looks show how the clothes hold their shape.
Bottega Veneta showed Louise Trotter’s Spring 2027 collection in Milan on 26 September 2026. The runway offers many directions; these three looks make a concise way into its range of volume and colour.
Room in the tailoring
Look 3 puts a long dark jacket over loose white trousers. The jacket is shaped at the waist, while the trousers fall freely beneath it. A broad, textured hat changes the outline again. There is plenty of fabric, but each piece still has a clear edge.
Look 17 is softer: a pink shirt drapes around the neck and sits above pale yellow trousers. The sleeves gather at the forearm, and the trousers keep their volume through the leg. Colour gives the outfit its immediate appeal; the fit keeps it from feeling slight.
One colour, several surfaces
Look 55 pares the palette back to red. Its upper half is gathered close to the body; below, pleats and an uneven hem give the skirt room to move. The red shoes and earrings stay within the same colour family, leaving the shifts in texture to do the work.
Across the three looks, volume moves from the jacket to the trousers and finally to the skirt. Look 55 lets the red fabric carry it without another strong colour competing for attention.
